Authorizing Councilmember Cindy Bass’s appeal, on behalf of and as representative of City Council, of the decision of the Department of Licenses and Inspections with respect to 6930 Ardleigh Street. WHEREAS, Section 17.1 of the First Class City Home Rule Act provides: “In addition to any aggrieved person, the governing body vested with legislative powers under any charter adopted pursuant to this act shall have standing to appeal any decision of a zoning hearing board or other board or commission created to regulate development within the City”; and WHEREAS, The Council intends by this Resolution to authorize Councilmember Bass to be a party to such an appeal on its behalf and to ratify Councilmember Bass’s authority to file the appeal on behalf of and as representative of the Council; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, That Councilmember Cindy Bass has full authority to intervene in and thereafter as a party therein to prosecute and defend, on behalf of and as representative of this Council, the appeal of the decision of the Department of Licenses and Inspections with respect to 6930 Ardleigh Street. FURTHER RESOLVED, That this Council ratifies all steps taken to date by Councilmember Bass on behalf of and as representative of Council in preparation for said appeal.
