THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION 1. Title 14 of The Philadelphia Code is hereby amended to read as follows: TITLE 14. ZONING AND PLANNING * * * CHAPTER 14-200. DEFINITIONS * * * § 14-203. Definitions * * * (108.1) Electric Vehicle. A vehicle for on-road use primarily powered by an electric motor that draws current from an onboard battery charged through a building electrical service, electric vehicle supply equipment, or another source of electric current. (108.2) Electric Vehicle Parking Space, Installed. A designated parking space which is provided with at least a Level 2 installed Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment, regardless of whether motor vehicles in the space may be parked or kept for a charge, fee, or other consideration. (108.3) Electric Vehicle Parking Space, Ready. A designated parking space which is provided with a dedicated branch circuit that is not less than 40-ampere and 208/240-volt assigned for electric vehicle supply equipment terminating in a receptacle or junction box located in close proximity to the proposed location of the EV parking space.
