Amending Section 9-208 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled “Sidewalk Cafés,” to authorize additional locations for sidewalk cafés, all under certain terms and conditions. THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS : SECTION 1. Section 9-208 of The Philadelphia Code is hereby amended to read as follows: TITLE 9. REGULATION OF BUSINESSES, TRADES AND PROFESSIONS * * * CHAPTER 9-200. COMMERCIAL ACTIVITIES ON STREETS * * * § 9-208. Sidewalk Cafés. * * * (2) Location. Notwithstanding any provision of Section 9-205, a sidewalk café may be [maintained] maintained: * * * (*) within the area bounded by the east side of Trenton Avenue, the southern side of the Conrail Railroad lines, the west side of Richmond street, the north side of Cumberland street, the east side of Thompson street, the north side of East Huntingdon street, the west side of Moyer street, the west side of Almond street, the south side of Cumberland street, the west side of Aramingo avenue, and the north side of York street; (*) within the geographic boundaries of the East Falls Neighborhood Commercial Area Overlay District, as defined in §14-503(2); and (*) within the geographic boundaries of the following Special Services and Business Improvement Districts: (a) Manayunk Special Services District; subject to license approval and provided that the conditions of this Section are complied with. SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately.
