Amending Chapter 12-2700 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Permit Parking Districts," to add a new Section, entitled "Reserved Permit Parking for Residents with Disabilities," authorizing establishment of a program to provide dedicated vehicle-specific permit parking for certain individuals with a disability, under certain terms and conditions.

Amending Chapter 12-2700 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled “Permit Parking Districts,” to add a new Section, entitled “Reserved Permit Parking for Residents with Disabilities,” authorizing establishment of a program to provide dedicated vehicle-specific permit parking for certain individuals with a disability, under certain terms and conditions. THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION 1. Chapter 12-2700 of The Philadelphia Code is hereby amended to read as follows: TITLE 12. TRAFFIC CODE * * * CHAPTER 12-2700. PERMIT PARKING DISTRICTS * * * § 12-2713. Reserved Permit Parking for Residents with Disabilities. The Department is authorized to establish by regulation a system of dedicated parking, based on motor vehicle license plate, by which a qualifying resident with disabilities may obtain curbside parking for such resident’s exclusive use, in any locations in the right-of-way it deems in the best interests of the City.
