This listening experience was significant for many, becoming a family tradition with children hearing their parents tuning in during their morning commute; and WHEREAS, The Rise and Grind Morning Show aired weekday mornings from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Power 99 FM (WUSL); and WHEREAS, The show became a defining voice for hip-hop and R&B listeners across the Delaware Valley, awakening the region each day with music, laughter, bold opinions, and real conversations about life, relationships, and the community; and WHEREAS, The show’s hosts brought an authentic, community-centered style that connected deeply with listeners and reflected the diversity and culture of the Philadelphia area; and WHEREAS, MuthaKnows joined Power 99 WUSL in 2010 and quickly became a Philadelphia favorite, known for his quick wit, infectious energy and magnetic personality.
