Amending Section 12-701 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled “Designation of Bicycle Lanes,” to add a bicycle lane on South 3rd street; all under certain terms and conditions. THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION 1. Section 12-701 of The Philadelphia Code is amended to read as follows: § 12-701. Designation of Bicycle Lanes. * * * (2) The Department is authorized to designate a bicycle lane upon the following streets and regulate the operation and use of vehicles and bicycles upon such streets in a manner consistent with Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) regulations: * * * (jj) South 3rd street from South street to Market street: a bicycle lane, and the removal of a travel lane within the same limits. * * * SECTION 2. The following parking regulations shall be amended on South 3rd street, west side, from South street to Market street to: NO STOPPING ANYTIME SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect as follows: (a) Section 1: July 31, 2025.
