Amending Title 4 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "The Philadelphia Building Construction and Occupancy Code," by amending Subcode "B" (The Philadelphia Building Code) and adopting the 2021 edition of the "International Building Code," as published by the International Code Council, with various amendments thereto, as authorized by the Pennsylvania Uniform Construction Code Act, all under certain terms and conditions.

Amending Title 4 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled “The Philadelphia Building Construction and Occupancy Code,” by amending Subcode “B” (The Philadelphia Building Code) and adopting the 2021 edition of the “International Building Code,” as published by the International Code Council, with various amendments thereto, as authorized by the Pennsylvania Uniform Construction Code Act, all under certain terms and conditions. THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION 1. Subcode “B” of Title 4 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled “The Philadelphia Building Code,” is hereby deleted and replaced with the following: TITLE 4. THE PHILADELPHIA BUILDING CONSTRUCTION AND OCCUPANCY CODE * * * SUBCODE "B" (THE PHILADELPHIA BUILDING CODE) Article B-1.0 Adoption of the “2021 International Building Code,” pursuant to the Pennsylvania Uniform Construction Code Act (“Act”), with state amendments and local amendments that were in effect prior to enactment of the Act or approved pursuant to Section 503 of the Act.
