Honoring and congratulating former Philadelphia Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins, a Super Bowl LII champion, defensive leader, and distinguished advocate for social justice, on his induction into the Eagles Hall of Fame on November 28, 2025 - the first member of the Super Bowl LII roster to earn this recognition. WHEREAS, Jenkins was born in East Orange, New Jersey and attended Ohio State University, where he became one of the nation’s best defensive backs. In addition to earning All-American honors, he also won the Jim Thorpe award in 2008, recognizing him as the nation’s top defensive back; and WHEREAS, Jenkins was selected in the first round of the 2009 NFL Draft by the New Orleans Saints and won his first Super Bowl with them in his rookie season. In 2014, he signed with the Philadelphia Eagles, where his impact as a playmaker elevated the team for six seasons; and WHEREAS, Jenkins served as a team captain for the Eagles for four seasons, earned three Pro Bowl selections during his tenure, and played a central role in the team’s historic victory in Super Bowl LII; and WHEREAS, Beyond his on-field success, Malcolm Jenkins became one of the NFL’s most influential voices for racial and social justice, using his platform to advance measurable change.
