Recognizing and celebrating the 150th Anniversary of St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children and proclaiming November 30, 2025, as “St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children Day” in the City of Philadelphia. WHEREAS, St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children was founded in 1875 and has served as a beacon of hope, healing, and innovation in pediatric care for one hundred fifty years; and WHEREAS, From its beginnings as a small charitable institution, St. Christopher’s has grown into a leading center for pediatric excellence, remaining committed to caring for children and families throughout Philadelphia, especially those facing barriers to healthcare access; and WHEREAS, The hospital has consistently advanced clinical practice and pediatric medicine, contributing to breakthroughs in treatment, expanding specialty services, and improving outcomes for young patients across the region; and WHEREAS, St. Christopher’s has played a significant role in educating and preparing generations of pediatricians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals who continue to serve communities in Philadelphia and across the nation with skill and compassion; and WHEREAS, The hospital’s commitment extends into surrounding neighborhoods through community-based programs, early childhood development resources, behavioral health services, and family support initiatives that address the social and emotional needs of children; and WHEREAS, St. Christopher’s offers essential specialized services, …
