Philadelphia Legislation

Amending Title 9 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Regulation of Businesses, Trades and Professions," by revising Chapter 9-4400, entitled "Responsible Business Operations," to add the sale of tobacco in violation of 18 Pa. C.S. § 6305 to the list of nuisance behaviors, under certain terms and conditions.

Amending Section 6-503 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Licenses and Permits," to provide for the suspension of licenses for businesses not in compliance with applicable state regulations and/or whose physical layout significantly differs from the originally approved floor plan, all under certain terms and conditions.

Honoring and celebrating the extraordinary life of Alfred L. Dezzi and his invaluable contributions to public service, environmental policy, criminal justice reform, and education, and expressing deep gratitude for his enduring impact on the City of Philadelphia.

Authorizing the Philadelphia Land Bank to dispose of 2248 Ruffner Street located in the 8th Councilmanic District in accordance with the terms of Chapter 16-700 of The Philadelphia Code.

Honoring the Work of the Pan-African Sisterhood Health Initiative (P.A.S.H.I.) artisans, volunteers, students, and supporters of P.A.S.H.I. for their selfless contributions and commitment to both local and international communities.

Honoring Central High School for Winning the 2024 PIAA District 12 AAA Team Title for the fourth consecutive year and celebrating their impressive sweep of team, singles, and doubles championships.

Honoring the Simon Gratz High School Football Team for winning the 2024 Public League Championship and celebrating their resilience and excellence.

Authorizing the Philadelphia Redevelopment Authority to execute and deliver to the Philadelphia Land Bank deeds conveying title to 149 Apsley Street, 1520-1540 W. Venango Street, and 1600-1620 W. Venango Street, located in the 8th Councilmanic District, pursuant to the requirements of the Commonwealth Land Bank Act.

Authorizing the Philadelphia Land Bank to dispose of 23, 24, 45, 49, 51, 53, 55, 57, 59, 61, 62, 65, 67, 73, 75, 77, 78, 89-91 and 106 E. Ashmead Street in the 8th Councilmanic district in accordance with the terms of Chapter 16-700 of The Philadelphia Code.

Authorizing the Philadelphia Land Bank to dispose of 1520-40 Venango Street & 1600-20 Venango Street in the 8th Councilmanic district in accordance with the terms of Chapter 16-700 of The Philadelphia Code.

Recognizing and Honoring Jaron "Boots" Ennis, the reigning International Boxing Federation (IBF) World Welterweight champion for his outstanding achievements in professional boxing and work in the community.

Establishing a parking regulation on Carlisle street between Rockland street and Windrim avenue; N. 15th street between Louden street and Rockland street; N. 15th street between Rockland street and Ruscomb street; Burbridge street between Washington lane and Duval street; McKean avenue between Hansberry street and Queen lane; Knox street between Chelten avenue and Price street; Washington lane between McCallum street and Burbridge street; Pelham street between Horter street and Upsal street; Ross street between Sharpnack street and Upsal street.

Establishing a parking regulation on Fairhill street between Lindley avenue and Allegheny avenue; Fairhill street between Ruscomb street and Rockland street; Ruscomb street between N. 4th street and N. 5th street; N. 4th street between Roosevelt boulevard and Louden street; N. 23rd street between Lippincott street and Allegheny avenue; Bethlehem pike between Chestnut Hill avenue and Summit street.

Renaming the 6100 block of North 21st Street "Reverend Ceotis Pryor Way" to honor the life and contributions of Reverend Ceotis L. Pryor, the late trailblazing Pastor of the Corinthian Baptist Church.

Authorizing the Commissioner of Public Property to execute and deliver to the Philadelphia Redevelopment Authority deeds conveying fee simple title to 5803 Knox Street in the 8th Councilmanic District of the City of Philadelphia and further authorizing the Philadelphia Redevelopment Authority to transfer to the Philadelphia Land Bank fee simple title to such properties pursuant to Section 16-405 of The Philadelphia Code.

Honoring and recognizing Reverend Dr. Alyn E. Waller on his 30th Pastoral Anniversary and loyal and dedicated service to God, his church, humanity and the community.
